Language As A Mean of Communication

There are a lot of languages that people use in their life, especially for social live. Language is the human capacity for acquiring and using complex systems of communication, and a language is any specific example of such a system. Estimates of the number of languages in the world vary between 6,000 and 7,000. Certain languages have phonemes that if pronounced differently produces different meaning. For example the English and French language it important to differentiate between /r/ and /l/ such as in the word 'craw' and 'claw' because different pronunciation produce different meaning but in Japanese these differences don't have an effect. Structures of language is an important factor in shaping an individual's cognitive process; something taken usually for granted. Language is able to change an individual mindset and be able to be open minded to new experiences. (HD)
